Q. How Do I Apply Wall Stickers?
A. It is really easy and fun! Simply remove the sticker from the sheet, place in the desired location and smooth with your hand. The sticker should be applied to a clean surface and must be completely dry before applying (check out our Decorating Tips for detailed information).
Q. Can Wall Stickers Be Reused?
A. We have four main types of stickers in our collection: PVC coated thin paper stickers, vinyl coated paper stickers, stickers made from vinyl, and graphic stickers. Almost all stickers can be easily removed and repositioned (except graphic stickers and PVC coated paper stickers). Stickers made from vinyl and vinyl coated paper can be moved from wall to wall within a room or can be moved to a new room. Wall stickers from USA collection can be even reused months or even years later. Simply place the sticker back on the liner or backing and store in a clean environment at room temperature.
Q. Do Wall Stickers Damage The Walls?
A. No. Wall stickers are safe and leave no sticky residue on the walls.
Q. Can I Apply Wall Decals To My Wallpaper?
A. Happily, the answer is yes for the decals made from vinyl! But before you start slapping wall stickers on top of your freshly applied wallpaper, you should know that there is a “right” way to do this process. We've written this short how-to guide to keep you from making any mistakes that may damage your brand new wallpaper.
Hanging new wallpaper? IMPORTANT: we recommend allowing new wallpaper to cure for two weeks before applying wall stickers! Please only proceed with these instructions after your wallpaper has been given time to settle in place.
1. Clean your wallpaper
Wipe down the surface of your wallpaper with a dry cloth.
Wall decals work best on a completely smooth, clean area, so be sure your wallpaper is free of dust and dirt. If there are any stains, clean them carefully with a damp cloth, or follow the cleaning and care instructions included with your wallpaper.
2. Test your wall decals
Apply a small decal to an inconspicuous area on your wallpaper. Wait 1-2 days, then remove the test decal. Examine both the area and the back of the decal for any signs of damage or adhesive ineffectiveness.
This process is best done in an area that will not normally be seen—behind furniture or in a corner.
3. Apply the wall decals
If your test decal removes cleanly, you can safely apply the rest of your wall decals to your wallpaper.
Since our wall decals can be applied to any flat surface, you can stick them on the ceiling, light switches, paneling, windows, mirrors, doors, and more. Don't limit yourself to just one wall! With a little patience and precaution, we think you'll find wallpaper and wall decals to be a knockout combination.
Q. Will Decals Remove Paint From My Walls?
A. Wall decals are designed to be completely safe for your walls, which means that they will not peel the paint, or damage other surfaces like sealed wood, plastic, or metal. However, we don't recommend applying wall stickers to freshly painted walls! Doing so could lead to some big problems.
Check out our Decorating Tips for more information on how and when to apply your wall decals, and how to be absolutely sure they won't peel away the paint.
